So this blog post has to start off with some history. The bride Kari and I have known each other since 7th or 8th grade, I really can’t remember which exact grade but my earliest memories of Kari are in this PE class we had together where we did specific non popular sports for the entire semester. We did bowling (we actually got to go to a bowling ally during class), badminton & tennis as JR high schoolers friends were everything and we were the only ones in the class out of our group of friends so we were partners for everything which grew our friendship. We were still friends till we got to high school through our sophomore year till her parents decided to move out to Gig Harbor and in the years before social media we naturally lost touch with one another. So flash forward to the years of Myspace, I was looking up people I use to know and sure enough I find Kari living in Seattle just finishing school and its like we never stopped being friends.
Kari has been one of my biggest supporters when it comes to my photography, she told me before her & Eamon got engaged I would be photographing her wedding, which I took as a very big compliment! So when they did get engaged back in January of 2012 I started this process of Kari planning her wedding. I seriously love this couple and you can see the love in radiating from them. Example there beautiful engagement photos we did last fall, well after that I really got excited for photographing there big day.
So Kari & Eamon decided to have a more private family and close friends ceremony at Bhy Kracke Park on Queen Anne hill then a big reception at The Blue Ribbon Cooking School. Well weeks leading up to the big day both Kari & I were watching the weather like a hawk keeping our fingers crossed for no rain. Well not aware to any of us Kari & Eamon got married on of the hottest days we have had this year. Minus the heat and this wedding was beautiful and very meaningful. The ceremony was one of the most personal, special I have ever witnessed or had the great pleasure to photograph and I am so lucky I got to be a part of Kari & Eamon’s beautiful day.
