Sadie & Kevin’s wedding at Brookstom Creek was definitely one I had been waiting for this summer since their engagement session earlier this year I have been so excited for their wedding. Sadie had told me that her and the bridesmaids would be wearing flower crowns which fit perfectly with their Boho themed they were having for their wedding at Brookstom Creek. Brookstom Creek is a newer venue in Buckley, WA and even being that this is their first year, it’s pretty nice but I can’t wait to see what their future brings after this first wedding season.

Both Kevin and Sadie were pretty set against doing a first look because they really wanted that experience of seeing each other as Sadie walked down the aisle with her dad. I remember Kevin telling me in our first meeting that he was going to cry and both him and Sadie were pretty emotional people so the day would definitely be filled with happy tears. Of course once the big day got here we ended up having a perfect late August summer day, not too hot, not too cold it was perfect, even a few clouds in the sky. Since we weren’t doing a first look I didn’t start till about an hour before the ceremony only really giving us time to do getting ready photos then it was time for the ceremony. And sure enough as they had told me both got very emotional when they saw each other for the first time as Sadie’s dad walked her down the aisle. Their ceremony was so sweet and their 3 year old son Rex even came up a few times to see what Mom and Dad were doing. One of my favorite photos from their day is one of Rex reaching up and putting his hands with his parents as they hold hands. After their vows and exchanging rings they were announced as Mr & Mrs!

After dinner it was time for my favorite part of the the wedding day bride and groom portraits during golden hour. And thankfully the clouds went away just in time for some pretty amazing photos! Brookstom Creek has a pretty big field next to the venue area which was perfect for their golden hour photos. Thank you Sadie & Kevin for letting me be part of your special day! I seriously loved every part of it and it was such an honor to capture your beautiful wedding!
