Copper Creek Inn Wedding

Mount Rainier

Alexa and Rich’s wedding at the Copper Creek Inn was such a wonderful day to be part of.  If you remember these two we did their engagement session at Ruby Beach in 2019. The original plan was for the couple to get married in July but again covid messed up the plans but thankfully they just pushed their date out a month and a half and trimmed the guests to only their families.

In doing this they were able to still have their ceremony at Copper Creek Inn then we headed up to Paradise for their couples portraits. This isn’t the first time I have been to the Copper Creek Inn but the first time for a wedding ceremony. When I arrived at the Copper Creek Inn Alexa was already dressed and ready to go.

After a few touch-ups of hair and makeup, it was time for the first look with Rich. During their first look, Rich and Alexa exchanged private vows to each other. Right after their first look and vows, we headed back over to the main cabin where Alexa finally showed Rich their wedding cake. She had been keeping it a surprise for a very special reason! Alexa had a Star Wars cake made for Rich. It has the Millennium Falcon on it and other ships on it in the most beautiful way! It really was a work of art!

We then headed over to the ceremony location for the couple to finally get married! During the ceremony, Alexa surprised Rich again by giving special vows to Rich’s daughter and Alexa’s new stepdaughter. No one had a dry eye, I even teared up! Rich surprised Alexa with a little rubber duck they take turns hiding for each other and Rich brought him out during the ceremony. Also during the ceremony, the couple’s friend who was officiating quoted John Muir which was very fitting since a famous quote of his is at the stairs near the Paradise visitors center.

After they were announced married we headed back over to the cabin for the first dances and cake for their family. As soon as cake and dances were over the couple and I left to head into Mount Rainier National Park for their portraits. The first stop was the woods one of my favorite spots I have used a few times. Next was a wooden bridge right outside Longmire which I have crossed several times but never stopped at for a photo spot. The couple had plans for their honeymoon to go backpacking so they brought their backpacking backpacks with “Just Married” signs on the back which was a great addition for photos.

When we finally got up to Paradise we headed to a spot I had been dying to get to for a few years. Alexa and Rich were up for any location and hiked in their wedding clothes! When we got to the spot I had been dreaming about it was perfect! No one was around and I was seriously in photo heaven! Thank you again Alexa and Rich for trusting me with your wedding day! It was such a dream and your wedding was definitely a highlight of my 2020 wedding season!

And here is the amazing review from the couple about working with me:
“We chose Jenny as our photographer before we had picked anything else for the wedding, even a venue! She was super flexible with us in what turned out to be a really difficult year to plan a wedding. We chose Jenny based on her portfolio that had so many beautiful photos of couples on Mount Rainier. She knew the best places to go to get gorgeous photos on the mountain. We love our wedding photos and couldn’t be happier!”
