Downtown Seattle Destination Wedding
Back in February of this year I was contacted by Whitney & Eric and they were looking for a photographer to document their destination Downtown Seattle wedding. They were traveling from Illinois to get married here in Seattle and they were looking to go around all the iconic spots of Seattle to get photos then document their civil ceremony at the Seattle Courthouse wedding.
When I asked Whitney why they were coming all the way to Seattle to get married she said they both were loved Seattle and couldn’t imagine anywhere else to get married and they hope in the future to relocate here as well.
Well on this early October day Seattle was nothing but perfection. I met the couple at the Inn at the Market and they have an amazing rooftop deck where Eric was waiting to see Whitney for the first time in her wedding dress. After their first look we headed down to the Pike Place Market to do some photos in the market, including the famous Gum Wall, then we headed to the Olympic Sculpture park it was time to head to the Seattle courthouse.
Now something that makes the Seattle Courthouse different is they have a rooftop deck which gives you the most amazing views of Downtown Seattle and I feel like it was the icing on the cake for Whitney & Eric’s day. After their ceremony and exchanging rings they were Mr & Mrs.
After leaving the courthouse we headed back to the market area and down to the waterfront to do some sunset shots and get some of the Great Wheel lite up. I was so honored to be part of Whitney & Eric’s wedding day here in Downtown Seattle. And special thanks to Lauren Ryan who came to be the second witness and second shooter.
