Georgetown Ballroom Wedding

Weddings

Georgetown Ballroom was a new venue for me. I had the pleasure of documenting Kim and Matthew’s wedding at The Georgetown Ballroom in September 2019. This wedding was both a joy and a challenge for me to document. The wedding had so much emotion and happy moments! The challenges for me were locations for their couples portraits. Being that it’s an urban location finding “clean” with good lighting locations for my couple were my biggest challenges but in the end, it worked out as you will see.

Another challenge is this venue is dark and red brick walls. But thankfully I know flash and off-camera flash helped me rock this wedding at the Georgetown Ballroom. Kim & Matthew did a first look right in front of the iconic doors at Georgetown Ballroom. This is also where I did the wedding party photos too.

After all the photos outside we do the family portraits inside and get ready for the ceremony. After a very sweet ceremony, Kim and Matthew are married! The couple did an outfit change to Vietnamese wedding attire. It was such a wonderful wedding day! A few favorites from the couple’s wedding were Matthew painted all the little paintings for the centerpieces and I had to feature them in their blog post! Also all their desserts for the reception, so many yummy options! I loved being part of Kim & Matthew’s wedding at the Georgetown Ballroom! I hope to head back there soon!
