Anytime you can get a wedding where Mount Rainier is in the background you know you’re in store for some amazing photos! So when I was told that Meg & Adam were going to have their first look & reception at Lake Tapps I got very excited! Meg & Adam were having their actual ceremony at the LDS Temple up in Bellevue where they don’t allow photography of the ceremony. When Meg told me they wanted to have their first look documented then have me come back for their backyard reception I was very excited to try something new, not my traditional wedding day.

When their day got here Adam was waiting at the spot Meg and I choose for their first look. Lake Tapps Golf Course has the perfect view of Mount Rainier & the lake. I got some photos of Adam than Meg arrived, I was super excited to see her dress she had told me that her mother was making it and had made all her sister’s dresses! I have to say it is one of the prettiest dress I have seen and a true princess gown. (You see later at their reception when Meg is dancing it looks like she fell straight out of a fairy tale of a Princess dancing with her Prince.) I love documenting first looks and Adam’s reaction to Meg and her beautiful dress was wonderful. Then the magic happen, to date this is my best bride & groom portraits, the location, the couples connection it was magically! After we were done I hurried home to start working on their first look, I really wanted to have them done or close to being done for them. I was very excited also that I was able to present Meg & Adam a framed print of one of their photos on their actual wedding day!

That evening I returned to document their reception which was also at Lake Tapps in a field across the street from her Sister’s house also on the lake. After a BBQ dinner the couple got to dancing. As the sun got lower in the sky friends and family said their goodbyes and it was time for Meg & Adam to head out to their honeymoon. It was a fabulous day and evening.
