Solo Point Engagement Session

Engagement

What can I say about this engagement session at Solo Point… WOW! Amanda & Josh truly love the outdoors and it’s highlighted in their engagement photos. They met while at a Zombie Marathon in Alaska it started to snow and Josh had heated seats. After 2 years of dating Josh finally popped the question after an amazing day of snowshoeing, and of course Amanda said yes!

When we started planning their engagement session Amanda & Josh wanted to highlight one of their major loves Mountain Biking. So picking a location that would work for that here in the South Puget sound I wasn’t too sure. Then Amanda told me about Solo Point, it’s an older part of Fort Lewis no longer in use and I’m so glad Amanda & Josh suggest it, it was a perfect place for their engagement session.

On the day of their session it was cloudy but really no chance of rain I thought well I was wrong, half way through it started to rain, but this only made the session better. We finished up at the big field right as it started to rain then by the time we got down to the beach it was really raining. They didn’t care & I didn’t care it actually added another great element to the photos. Then I had an amazing idea to do at the end as it got dark. We used Amanda’s truck to light them from behind to get some fun end of session photos with their mountain bikes. I seriously love all of these photos and so honored they chose me for their photographer.

What a fun engagement session at Solo Point! You can really get a sense of this couple fun and adventurous personalities through their photos. I love your mix of colored and black and white photos. I am a sucker for black and whites, I feel like the lack of color allows you to really focus on the emotion of the photo. And you can clearly tell this couple is so in love! Wonderful job!
