Breda and Rebekah’s original date was in May so thanks to wonderful Covid they pushed their wedding to August as we all thought life would be back to normal by then. As we all know that didn’t happen so the ladies had to change their plans for their Harry Potter Themed Wedding. The new plan was to have a small ceremony and reception in the couple’s backyard. We did their first look and all the portraits at the University of Puget Sound right here in Tacoma.
After their first look, we did their wedding party and family portraits at the college too. Then it was time to head back to their house for the ceremony. Rebekah and Breda had Harry Potter books lining their aisle and all the members of their wedding party had wands.
During the ceremony, they had music from the Harry Potter movies playing for everyone to walk to. Breda’s parents read quotes and so did one of Rebekah’s sisters. After the ladies became Mrs and Mrs their wedding party lined up and rose their wands so the ladies could walk down the middle. The ladies had a beautiful cake made and had lots of decor around the cake that supported the Harry Potter theme that Breda and Rebekah worked to acheive.
It was such a fun and special day to be part of Breda and Rebekah’s Harry Potter themed wedding!
Check out the amazing review the couple left about my services:
“People say planning a wedding is hard. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is even harder. Jenny was fantastic last year with our engagement photos, but this year, as the pandemic took over our plans, we came to deeply appreciate her hard work and expertise. When we had to reschedule our wedding, shrink the ceremony, cancel our reception, and change locations, Jenny was a consistent presence offering timely communication, commiseration, advice, and a sense of humor. She was able to adjust to our rescheduled date, accommodate safety precautions, and capture our vision for our photos. Beyond the amazing photos she captured, Jenny is LGBTQ+ positive, understands how to adjust for unsupportive families who were not present, and she helped create a beautiful moment during my father/daughter dance so that my wife got a father/daughter dance with my dad too. Jenny doesn’t just take care of pictures, she takes care of YOU. And for that, we are incredibly grateful.” Breda & Rebekah
