Seattle Backyard Wedding

Weddings

I seriously love a good backyard wedding! And this rainy Seattle backyard wedding I got to be part of was amazing! Karmen & Andrew decided to get married at Karmen’s Parents property & house. The day of their backyard wedding turned out to be a little rainy which was a little stressful but in the end, all the mattered was all the love and support Karmen & Andrew had around them.

Karmen & Andrew really wanted to focus on the guest and moments of their backyard wedding and not about all the details which was perfect when all the dancing started, but I am getting ahead of my self. The couple decided to do a first look before their ceremony which thankfully I carry umbrella’s with me and so I gave one clear umbrella to each of them & off we went into the rain for their first look.

I always ask my brides how they want to go to their groom and Karmen told me she wanted to be back and tell Andrew to turn around so they could walk to each other. Well you know how much I love tears especially from the groom so when Andrew got emotional I after turning around to see Karmen in her stunning dress I knew it was going to be a wonderful wedding.

So after some bridal portraits, we decided to head inside and to the bridal portraits & see if the rain would stop where we could do more portraits after the ceremony.

Right on cue, the rain stopped right as the ceremony started, and it didn’t rain the rest of the night!!!!! After their emotional ceremony with their close friends and family, Karmen & Andrew did a receiving line to greet each guest which I did at my own wedding it’s so nice to actually say hi to each guest as they go through to the reception!

So as I said the couple didn’t want really any detail photos and most of their friends and family helped in some way with the wedding so they just wanted to focus on the moments. So under some amazing bistro lights were some funny stories and lots and lots of dancing way into the night.

This Seattle backyard wedding is a new favorite of mine, and I am not sorry by all the photos I shared in this blog post, too many good ones! Enjoy and congratulations to Karmen & Andrew!

Such an emotional first look!

So the truth how you get the pretty veil floating shots? This is how it goes down an awesome bridesmaid ready to run.

BAM veil floating magic!
