It’s been a while since I have photographed Mia with my big girl camera and now that she is more toddler and less baby I really need to document these moments more often. Since yesterday was Leap Day I figured it was a good time to do that since February 29th only comes around every 4 years. Mia is babbling more and more, with more babble actually sound like words than gibberish. She loves going outside but with our super wet winter we have been forced to play inside more than outside. And this momma is very nervous about our backyard due to our property we have a very large drop off at the back side of our property & I can’t take my eyes off her for a minute. I think she would stop before getting to close but I’m not willing to risk it. Mia’s hair is also gotten very long in the last few months, actually long enough to pull it all back in a ponytail but as you can imagine doing her hair sometimes can be a challenge and bribery is needed sometimes. I started the day getting some photos of her in her crib right after she woke up. She showed me how she could jump & do peek-a-boo. Then before lunch we headed outside where mom tried to keep her from stepping in Teddy’s poop & trying to keep her somewhat clean (yes I am that mom & I’m sure as she gets older I won’t care so much about her getting dirty). Then we headed back inside where Mia showed me how she danced & she chased me around the house as I snapped photos of her. She is such a happy funny girl and I love this stage…. I am hoping two won’t be too bad.
