In September of 2014 we had a chance of having the northern lights show up here in the Pacific Northwest. So of course it was the talk of the town in the photography world. Everyone was trying to figure out a great place where to view them without dealing with light pollution. So a group of us photographers decided to go to Rattlesnake Lake outside North Bend, WA. Apparently most of Seattle thought it was a great location too because their were at least 1000 people there. Sadly they didn’t show and didn’t show up anywhere on the west coast. But making do with being outside on a beautiful night we all worked on our night photography. I still hope one day I will get to see the Northern Lights maybe here in Washington or in Alaska some day.
A gorgeous sky nonetheless! We don’t get skies like those in my area of NJ! Beautiful photos!
