First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage. So last September I found out that my husband and I were expecting our first child. As I found out it never happens when you want it too (when you have a plan). As I am growing my photography business I had informed my husband that we can’t get pregnant in September-December due to I have already booked a wedding for June and was trying to get July and August booked up as well as it get to engagement season AKA the holidays.
Keeping my pregnancy a secret that first trimester was very hard especially to potential clients. As we know sometimes things don’t work out early in a pregnancy but trying to be positive so I just took it as I wasn’t going to be available for May, June or July of 2014 weddings. As the first trimester came to an end and I could make it public I did so in a grand way, I had one of my photographer friends Rebecca Anne Photography take my announcement photo.
Then as I started to show I took a photo on instagram of my weekly “Bump” progress starting at 16.5 weeks. At 19 weeks we found out we were having a girl, which she is now known as Little Miss Storment Or Little Miss because her name when we come up with one will be under wraps till she is born in June. Now that I am in the home stretch (less then 8 weeks) I am getting so excited for her and can’t wait to meet her. I am officially taking my maternity leave from photography in June and July then come August I start shooting weddings! I’m sure when she gets here I will “attempt” to do a few newborn photos but I am leaving that up to the pros when I do our official announcement photos for her. Come on June!
i am so happy for you!!! Blessings
