So a huge compliment to a photographer is when a client is so impressed by a friends photos that you took that they really want to hire you. That is the case with Jen & Jay. Jen saw my work I did of James & Anne’s wedding and was so impressed she hired me. When Jen and I talked about what she wanted for their engagement session she wanted to incorporate hunting because that is something Jay got Jen into after they started dating.
Jen & Jay met through friend on Facebook and their first date was to a Nickelback concert. After 2 years of dating Jay planned an epic proposal for Jen. On the day after Valentine’s Day last year Jen & Jay headed up to Seattle for a date. Jen really wanted to ride the Great Wheel on the waterfront. They spend the day at the Pike Place Market and had dinner at a restaurant over looking Great Wheel. Jen said she remembered looking at the Wheel saying “It’s so cool people get engaged on that thing!” She said Jay just laughed and they headed over to that a ride on The Wheel. They weren’t even in the air yet when Jay got down on his knee and asked Jen to marry him.
I’m so excited because I get to head back to Red Barn Studio for their summer wedding!
