We all grow up dreaming of marrying our high school Sweethearts. But for most of us between high school and our 20’s we change a lot. Well this couples story actually started in 1st grade where they first met. Flash forward to freshman year in high school Danielle & Simon first started dating in 9th grade. Through high school and college this couple survived the most trying years on any young relationship. After college they were so excited to add their sweet little boy Logan into the world. After all of this a day after their 11th anniversary they finally tied the knot to be come Mr & Mrs! When Danielle reached out to me about becoming their wedding photographer I knew we would hit it off. When I finally met Danielle I was pregnant with Mia so not only did we have babies in common but weddings too. Then Danielle told me her grand plans for her and Simon’s big day, I got so excited and a little sad I had to wait till late November 2014 for their wedding. I had never been to Titlow Lodge for a wedding before but after hearing Danielle’s plans I knew that it was going to be amazing.  At their engagement session I finally got to meet Simon and seeing them together I could see why they had been 10 and half years together!

In 2014 I did 10 weddings and Danielle & Simon’s wedding was my final for the year! I was super stoked to have theirs as my finale to wrap up my amazing 1st year going full-time. All we had to hope for was no rain and boy did we luck out! The morning of their wedding there were showers but the forecast called for sun breaks and partly cloud in the afternoon. When I got to Titlow Lodge, Danielle was almost ready to get into her beautiful dress that she had purchased from The Wedding Bell here in Tacoma. Her dress was A-MAZING and was perfect for Danielle’s personality and theme of their wedding!

What made me so excited about their wedding was the theme; gold, cream and champagne, Danielle had found a wonderful vendor the Sweet Buffet Lady where she had rented a Chandler and all sorts of other decor to make her gold, cream and champagne theme all fit together. Even her flower’s from Julia’s Floral had gold gems in them! Danielle and Simon had a very small wedding party and wanted to keep the photos to of them, their son & of immediate family. After photos was time for the big show the ceremony, this ceremony was a packed house of witness Danielle & Simon’s journey to where they are now. We even had a lite moment when Logan started yelling for his parents making everyone laugh! After personal vowels to one another and first kiss as Mr & Mrs, it was time to party!  It was truly an amazing day filled with so much love towards Danielle & Simon! I am so happy that I could take part in their day!

So after finishing this wedding I decided to see if I could get it published in a few wedding blog and publications. So far this wedding has been featured in: Wedding Party App Blog, Project Wedding Blog and in May will be featured in The Knot blog for real weddings!
