2014 Wedding season by Jenny Storment Photography

2014 in Review

Weddings

I can’t believe 2014 is almost over! When looking back on my years of business now 7 years total. In 2007 I started Jenny Billington Photography and after I got married in 2011 I changed my business name to Jenny Storment Photography since I wasn’t established yet as I am now and I felt could change my name without doing any harm. In my 7 years I haven’t seen so much growth as I have this year.

In 2013 I did 3 weddings this year I did 10 weddings in all meeting my first goal of 5 very quickly and deciding to try to double that and go big with 10 weddings! I reached that goal in the late summer with my 10th wedding for 2014. Not to mention having a baby, quitting my day job and growing my portrait sessions as well.

Most of my 10 weddings were in the south sound; Tacoma, Poulsbo and in Olympia. I did get to travel up north twice one for Sandy & Jon’s wedding at Willow’s Lodge and again for Katie & Kevin’s reception for their friends and family at a private residence. It was truly a pleasure to be part of these couples lives for one day and creating these memories that they will cherish for years to come.

Also in 2014 I photographed lots of kids, families and couples! I love weddings and couples but I really have grown to love photographing families and kids, maybe it’s because I’m a mom now. I really want to continue the grow this part of my business to help create memories.

2014 best of Jenny Storment PhotographyIt has really been a great year for me! I feel I have found my style of shooting & editing to create my look I want for my clients. I hope to have more growth for 2015, which includes me teaching an Adobe Lightroom class next month, continuing to meet and make friends with more photographers in our area & finally I’ll be heading to Austin for a photography conference next November which will be amazing! 2015 is looking promising and I hope continue to support me and my dream of pursing photography full-time.

And finally I want to thank all my clients that took a chance on me this year!  In 2015 I hope to work with you again and work with new friends too! Have a safe and fun New Year’s Eve & Day.
