Cedar Springs Wedding

Weddings

Ok so first I have to say that this wedding is one of those weddings that wasn’t about getting the pretty photos and more about capturing those raw emotional moments! Steve & Ada’s wedding at the beautiful Cedar Springs in Port Orchard is one I will always remember for those raw moments I captured. Weddings like these remind me that it’s not about always having just the pretty photos of the bride and groom but more about capturing this very important day of a couple who is starting a new chapter of their new lives together. This wedding was filled with tearful moments, sweet moments and down right laugh out loud moments. It was also one of our rare very hot 90+ summer days which always add a little bit more to a wedding day.

Cedar Springs is a beautiful venue surround by trees and has 2 ponds on the property to add the beauty of this already awesome venue. Steve & Ada did a first look which is always awesome in my book and I didn’t know why but I wasn’t expecting Steve to cry but he did once he saw Ada in her dress. After the first look, we had to get ready for the ceremony, I was so excited to have Ada’s son Liam walking her down the aisle. One of the many funny moments of this wedding was of Liam literally stopping right in the middle of the aisle to laugh at Steve getting emotional while seeing Ada and him walking. We all laugh because it was such a real moment and I will never forget it! After their short and sweet ceremony, the couple walked back down with their guest doing a lavender toss!

After family photos and a few portraits of the Steve & Ada, it was time for another surprise Ada had for Steve. Ada had told me that she was going to be changing dresses after photos to something a little different than the normal white reception dress. Sure enough, Ada had this very pretty gray dress that she changed into as a surprise to Steve and I don’t blame her wanting to change it was so freaking hot and a wedding dress is normally not the lightest thing to wear on a hot day. Then it was time for the couple to be officially announced and they went into their first dance which started off slow then changed into something faster and super fun. After their dance, they had some wonderful speeches full of great stories and good advice so much love for these two!

All in all their wedding was seriously so amazing, it also was very hot but seriously amazing. Thank you, Steve & Ada, for letting me be part of your day it was truly a pleasure to document your wedding at Cedar Springs!

Liam signing to his mom that she looked beautiful!

Sammy was so funny picking her nose!

I seriously will always remember this moment, too funny!

It was so freaking hot I don’t blame Sammy for laying down in the cool grass!
