As I write this first wedding that was affected by Covid I think about this time last year when I was on track to have one of my best years with a hope of 30+ weddings on the books. Well, March came and all that got thrown out the window. This wasn’t the first time I had been to Laurel Creek Manor, I was there the summer of 2019. Alyssa & Gage’s wedding at Laurel Creek Manor was going to be a highlight of my summer (pre-covid). Thankfully the couple still had to have a 2-hour micro wedding block for their ceremony on their original day at Laurel Creek Manor and I was so happy I could document this for their friends and family that couldn’t attend.
The couple kept it to just immediate family in attendance as they wanted to still have the big party in the summer of 2021! The couple’s Laurel Creek micro wedding consisted of their ceremony and portraits. It was a very sweet ceremony officiated by Gage’s brother. During the ceremony, Gage’s closest cousin who also came did a reading.
After the couple was announced as married we did the family portraits then a few portraits of just the couple. Also did my first mask photo that day it wouldn’t be my last but definitely the sign of what our life now.
I’m going to keep my positive vibes that next summer we will be able to have normal weddings again and the couple will get the big party they were hoping for!
