Trillium Lake Elopement

Elopement

Trillium Lake is one of those places I had never heard of till someone asked me to go there for an elopement. So because I have written a few blogs about Wahclella Falls I get a lot of inquiries about doing an elopement there. But unfortunately, the area is closed till further notice due to that stupid fire in September 2017.

This is how Ruth-Helen and Joel found me, they were looking for at getting married in front of a waterfall but once everyone realized that area wasn’t going to be opening up anytime soon they started looking at different locations.

Trillium Lake was a special place for them so it seemed perfect for their elopement. Trillium Lake is in the shadow of Mount Hood and you can get some amazing photos of the mountain reflecting in the lake!

Ruth-Helen and Joel’s elopement happen to fall on a beautiful sunny October day. It was cold but perfect! They did a first look in the woods then we headed where we could get a perfect view of the mountain in the background for their ceremony.

It was a beautiful ceremony officiated by Joel’s father. In attendance was Joel’s parents, grandma & Ruth-Helen maid of honor & Joel’s best friend. After their ceremony, we did the couples portraits and it was a beautiful October day!

I would love to head back to Trillium Lake and Mount Hood to explore this very beautiful area of Oregon!
