This year is full of first wedding wise, first back yard weddings, being full-time all summer long and first same-sex wedding. Kayla & Marijo’s wedding fell on one of the HOTTEST weekends so far this summer 95+ degrees. This wedding is just one of many I am and was really excited to be part of and what’s not to be; On the Puget Sound, a backyard wedding, a live band and an amazing couple, Yes Please! After the couple’s first look and a few photos we did the family and bridal party. After that it was time for the big show. It was a wonderful ceremony both Kayla & Marijo said personal vows to one another, had Kayla’s brother & Marijo’s daughter say a quote from influential people then after I DO’s they became a married couple.

After a cocktail hour and dinner it was time for the Kim Archer Band to open the dance floor with Kayla & Marijo’s first dance as a married couple. I have to say this is my first reception with a live band and I loved it! More weddings need them don’t get me wrong I love DJ’s too but this was amazing! After some dancing the cakes were unveiled! Correct I said cakes, six to be exact and that didn’t include the cookies and cannolis. Apparently Marijo loves cake and one just wasn’t enough. They were all beautiful & delicious!

As the sun got lower in the sky it was time for our sunset photos by the water. I asked Kayla if she would be interested in getting in the water at the end and because it had been so hot she was completely down. And actually we all ended up in the water, it was cold but felt amazing after a very hot day. Congratulation ladies you made beautiful brides and I am so excited for you to see your photos, enjoy!
