In all my years of documenting weddings near and on Mount Rainier I had never heard of the Nisqually Winds Mountain House. This beautiful venue has a great view of Mount Rainier on a clear day! I was so excited when Rachel and Skyler reached out to me about documenting their wedding there.
On the big day, the couple decided not to have a first look and would see each other for the first time in their wedding attire during the ceremony. So I did as many portraits as I could with each of them and their family members and wedding party. The rest would have to wait till after the ceremony. There was such a sweet moment when Rachel’s brother saw her in her dress for the first time. It was such a sweet moment!
The couple’s ceremony was at the most beautiful wooden alter that Nisqually Winds Mountain House as a backdrop for wedding ceremonies! The wedding was officiated by the couple’s retired pastor from the church where they first met. During the ceremony, Rachel’s maid of honor sang a song which was so beautiful! After their I do’s they were married and it was time for more photos!
It was such a pleasure to be part of Rachel and Skyler’s wedding at the Nisqually Winds Mountain House. I hope I can do another wedding there in the future! And check out the sweet review the couple left about my services:
“Jenny was absolutely amazing. We had both family and guests coming up to us and commenting on how professional she was (and a few who were jealous they didn’t know about her for their weddings). The amount of preparation she did was fantastic. She made sure she had a full overview of all the pictures we wanted, all the names of our family members if there were any accommodations needed, etc. And when things went slightly haywire (as they usually do during weddings), she was right there making backup plans and keeping us on track. And the pictures she took are amazing – she would show my mom sneak peeks throughout the night and my mom cried at each one. I would highly recommend Jenny for anyone’s wedding!”
