Backyard Lake Tapps Wedding

Weddings

Out of all my couples who got married this year Stacy and Jeff’s wedding was the one that had to be the more pivot from the original plan. The couple reached out before covid because I had documented Jeff’s sister Emily’s wedding last year. The couple’s original plan was to get married on the Island of Kauai and I was going to be flying to Kauai to document their wedding (I was so excited to have a wedding in Hawaii finally!!!) Well, that darn Covid really making things a mess. At first, Hawaii was going to be opening up to tourists on August 1st pending you got a covid test within 72 hours of flying. Then it got pushed to the middle of August then September 1st.

Well as you can imagine all of those plans changed when the venue canceled their event and sent the couple a refund. I am so happy they did get a refund as a lot of couples didn’t get that when it came to their venue. Just as the couple started to look for a venue that they could have a local ceremony at they were landed another blow to the planning process new restriction were put in place the couple couldn’t have a reception anymore.

This was a huge blow to our entire wedding industry and all my couples trying to make what they had work. But again Stacy and Jeff pushed through and were determined to still get married. This is when Jeff’s dad and stepmom stepped in and offered their beautiful backyard on Lake Tapps for the wedding. In the end, Jeff and Stacy’s wedding was such a beautiful day. Sarah from Brick + Willow really turned the backyard into a beautiful venue. Chloe from Chloe Nicole Weddings and Events floral design turned out so stunning!

I think as a plan C this backyard Lake Tapps wedding turned out pretty amazing! It was such an honor to be part of Stacy and Jeff’s wedding! Here is the couple’s review with working with me:

“We were so glad we hired Jenny to capture our magical day. She was flexible with the chaos this year had to offer, which helped relieve the stress of rescheduling and changes. She beautifully captured our event and the photos will perfectly serve to help us all remember our special day. She provided a large selection of photos and her creativity and eye for photography is fantastic. We also appreciated the pamphlet with the guidance she provided to help us ensure we were adequately prepared for the engagement shoot and wedding shoot.”
