Mount Rainier Engagement Session

Mount Rainier

I was so excited when Carrissa and Ty reach out about doing their engagement session at Mount Rainier! This would also be the last time in 2020 I would be heading up to the mountain. Also, this was the first session I did with my new camera.  The weekend before I went up to Glazers Camera and purchased a Canon R6. I was so excited to get to finally use it for a real job instead of just snapping photos around the house of Mia, Pat, and the animals.

So getting to use a new camera for the engagement session was both exciting and nerve-racking. I did bring my Canon mark 4 with me but never took it out of the bag! I plan to do a full review of the camera in a later blog post!

But back to the engagement session with Carrrisa and Ty. We met at my normal meeting place and then headed up the mountain to Paradise. I had planned to take the couple up to one of the same spots I did some portraits with Alexa and Rich on their wedding day. This is now one of my favorite places to take my couples because you get a super clear view of Mount Rainier with no obstructions!

It was also a beautiful clear day which was so amazing since we had to reschedule their engagement session to a later date due to the bad smoke we dealt with earlier in September.

I am so happy with how this Mount Rainier engagement session turned out. I also fell in love with my camera by taking over 1000 photos of Carrissa and Ty during their engagement session.

And check out the amazing review the couple left about their time working with me:
“My fiancé and I had an unforgettable engagement photoshoot with Jenny at Mt. Rainier. We initially had to battle through some days of bad weather, but I appreciated her awareness for making sure we held the shoot on the best day possible. During the shoot itself, she was extremely experienced in her positioning, timing, and made sure we were able to take full advantage of Thea energy as well as the beautiful golden hour we were given. Our photos seriously belong in a magazine, which in fact is what we are using them for (wedding invitation style)! I was actually in tears looking at the reactions she caught between myself and my future husband. I would highly recommend Jenny’s services for your lifetime memories. She will not let you down!”
